Freelancer is a space sim where you fly around trading and running missions with a great degree of freedom. On my computer it runs at 50-90 fps at the highest settings in 1280x960. It is from a time when widescreen monitors weren't a thing so that's why I'm not running 1080p. It can run in 1080p but it screws up the UI unless you make some serious modding. So my recommendation is basically to just run it in 4:3 ratio.

Bombslinger is a Bomberman clone set in a spaghetti western setting. It runs on my computer at around 30 fps. That does work reasonably well though it does dip at times. Resolution doesn't seem to do much for the framerate. So it's more or less take it or leave it.

I can run it in 1920x1080 on its lowest settings. The framerate is roughly 30 when flying and 15-20 when docked at the station. Had those numbers been switched around I would have called it unplayable. But since you only have to navigate menus when docked the problem is limited somewhat. There doesn't seem to be an increase in performance when lowering resolution. And running in 1024x768 I get even worse framerates for some bizarre reason.
